Looks at this monster! 150 mph 914 for cheap money.

http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/2653003627.html

Must be able to do it if the owner says it can.

That car doesn't deserve the effort. Drive (push) it off a pier. It would make a big splash at 150 mph.

74 911 Coupe for $6,000

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/2657917806.html

have a 1974 Porsche 911 for sale. It has had the following work done to it, by me. I jacked it up the other day, and the jack tube bent due to rust, I am not sure how bad or deep it goes, but rust in the rockers is common with these cars.

1974 911 non sunroof coupe

Changed to odessey battery and relocate to smugglers box.
Fiberglass Iroc front bumper
New suspension pan welded in by Stratton Motorsports in Orlando,FL.
Koni Adjustables all the way around
23mm hollow front tbars
29mm rear tbars
Polybronze a-arm bushings
New ball joints, turbo tie rod ends
Rebuilt the steering rack
Bump steer spacers
Carrera rotors and calipers up front
New wheel bearings all the way around
Wevo shift coupler
New neatrix springplate bushings
Factory adjustable springplates
Hard oil lines and front trombone cooler

Rebuilt engine:
New main bearings, intermediate shaft bearings
Re-ringed nikasil pistons, de-glazed cylinders
Rebuilt heads installed
SC cams
New timing chains
Carrera pressure fed tensioners
New CIS seals, injector orings
11 blade fan
Refreshed trans-new 1-2 syncro, flipped 3-4(which does grind some if shifted fast) some new brake bands also.

Do the pre 77 mid-year motors have soft valve guides that only last about 60,000 miles?
