I had a leak coming from around one cam tower. I thought "oh sh*t". I took a plastic mallet and gently but persistently tapped all around the cover as the engine cooled down. No more leak.

I've heard of people wiggling and turning oil return tubes to get them to stop leaking. That sometimes works.

Same here. I've switched to the VR-1 exclusively. No leaks and no oil usage during the whole Lime Rock event.

VR1 is exceptional oil as a choice for non-synth. Good heads-up Ed. I (and many others) hope you use that case up real soon as well. Good luck with the first twist of the key.

Ditto Ed, thanks! I'll try to take advantage of the sale before the 31st. My son bought his Mobil 1 for his WRX today and he said it was $20 less that he usually pays...good deal!

Another heads up:

I hit my 4th Autozone, and after buying 60 qts, they are trying to stop the 50% off price on non-synthetic Valvoline. Fortunately, the price still comes up as 2.77 per qt, and I see they have another 40 qts. in their system. There must be more Autozones.....

I was excited today, till I read these prices!!

East coasters may still benifit from the sale $45/case (plus shipping) on BP 20W50
http://www.buyracingparts.com/lubric...50---case.html

West coasters $50/case (plus shipping) - this is where I bought... but dayam, under $30/case... not happening here today! (I know it was VR1, but still!)
