[quote] I could place the new 89 Carrera cooler/fan in the right fender, remove the water bottle in the left front fender, and place the 28 row cooler there. Then plumb up everything is series. Has anyone considered, heard, or done anything like this? If no one thinks it will work, then my 28 row cooler is up for sale.

Yes you could do that. I believe Jack Olsen has a similar setup, albeit with two radiator-style coolers. I recommend -16an lines rather than -12an which some people use.

Bill has one of the other options identified, order the front valance and cooler from Ruf, a sweet set up indeed.
The cheepo way is to get a cooler approximating the size and capacity of the B&B cooler, and mount it up. Check out Earls, Batco and a few others for the front mounted radiator. Also, once upon a time, Mazda oil engine coolers were adapted to Porsche coolers.
It is September, with Fall around the corner. We all need some projects for the Fall and Winter.

Hey Martin, seen this?
The key to any coolers efficiency will be air flow, if fender mounted coolers are used you have to open the biggest possible holes in the valance, then duct so that 100% of the incident air goes through the cooler. I used a setup similar to Bill Gs. If you don't want the large central opening, try using the foglight holes to duct to the coolers. I agree w/ Martin & Bill the final solution will be something like this;
