Thumbs up 911 AC system and Griffiths

I have a 1978 911sc that was delivered with out an AC system. I recently added AC to the car and used a number of parts purchased from Griffiths. I have to say that the parts and the system works very good. I purchases a complete used system from another SC for the evaporator, condensors and some mouthing hardware. The compressor, hoses, dryer, and the extra condensor came from Griffiths. Everything fit together great and the car blows cold air in the hot Texas sun. If you need any thing related to AC I would strongly suggest you check out web page

HI:
I have talked with them and all sounds great!. Ordered a vent kit, arrived quickly and very high quality. Question, did you get the condenser for the rear wheel opening. Looks great, might be the answer but I want to talk to someone who has one installed b4 I commit serious money.
thx

Seems like a good option to me, but there is also another option that looks good which is an underbody condensor that is quite large and supposed to do a great job of making things frosty. I think Performance Aire makes it, but I'm not sure. I think the guys at Imagine Auto use them when they need to upgrade AC.

Scott,
I have a 1980SC that came without A/C. I always figured adding A/C would be too much trouble and money. Your success makes me want to reconsider. Can you give an approximate cost to go from a non-A/C car to what you have now? I'd be doing all the work myself except for the actual R134a filling.

Thanks,
Rob

If you contact Griffiths they will give you good price on full kit. I think mine was $1,200 to go to new barries hose with the additional condenser.
Give the guy a call, easy to work with and wanted to help me.

Soon as I get feedback I an going for the additional condenser.
