Default Russell Berry chip - first DE

I installed Russell Berry's chip over the winter. it replaced an old autothority chip and hotwire MAF.

when installing RB's chip, I put the stock AFM back in as the MAF hotwire had become contaminated by the K&N filter oil.

went to a 3 day DE at MidOhio last weekend. this was my 7th DE at MidOhio and I had become familiar with where I hit redline / shift points around the track.

I found a very noticable improvement. the best example was on the back straight. in the past I would get to redline in 4th not far from the braking zone at the end of the back straight. with RB's chip, redline in 4th way before the braking zone. in all straight aways I would find similar situations, hitting redline sooner than in the past.

I ran with the 93 octane map the whole weekend. enjoying the improved performance too much to test against the stock map.

Autothority VS RB. RB the clear winner. no other comparisons implied.

I also have a Russell Berry chip with the multiple programs that you can select from. I have been enjoying it for 6 months. I just street my car no track events.

My RB ran a bit rich, but I did like the multiple function. I've switched back to the SW, which fit my engine profile better. But, for a stock motor, I've not heard any complaints about Russel's. Now, I've got a new SW on order for the new engine.
