I only have one lever for the top slider.

Is that the case for the non-auto heat?

I laughed my butt off at that commercial. I don't have the diagram either in my '87. I just assumed the levers were like those light switches that do nothing in my home, but half way across the world someone's garage door is opening and closing at random.

..and you don't want to know what happens in Portugal when you flip the "intensive windshield wash" switch!

These old 911s are just so WEIRD...that's part of the reason why I love them.

In Santa Monica, the aggressive panhandlers run toward you holding greasy rags...with extra intensity.

LOL at these replies..

so to understand this.... no one gets the controls? I thought it was me! I just fiddle with them for fun to give the interior a "new look" about every tank of gas or so

actually the controls are pretty easy to understand, but it is just funny that there are so many levers and ***** to do such simple things.

the top ones I never touch turns on fan for fresh air .
middle one directs fresh air to feet or windshield
botttom one directs hot air to feet or windhsield
two red levers between seats turn on hot air to be directed.

That is pretty well it ..

mine has great heat... warms up really quickly and the heat seems hotter than an H2O car...

The A/C is also very nice - I have heard people complain but I found mine to work very well although I wont use it, its nice to have if i want - if it didnt work so well I would pull it out

okay I got it figured out ...... They thought the Americans would figure it out but the rest of us poor saps around the world would need a sticker .. or may be they figured the Americans wouldn't open the glove box anyway cause that is where they are hiding their "piece"
