A friend is considering selling his SC and I think I have first shot at it. It's an 82 SC in Platinum color. Is this a special edition? He is not aware if it is. Has black centered Fuchs and I am not aware of any special features on the interior.

Car has under 80k miles on it and he inherited it from his Dad, who bought it from the original owner. Looks like a great opportunity.

i don't think there were any sc " special editions" . But it could be a special wishes car or a paint to match colour.

There were a couple of Carrera versions, the Anniversary Special edition and a commemorative edition of some kind.

There was a Weissach edition in 1980 and a Ferry Porsche Edition in 82. Looks like both of these were available in Platinum Metallic.

I don't have numbers and only a couple of pics, but it doesn't have any significant special markings. He's not 100% decided on selling I don't think, so I don't want to push him too hard.

This is the paint tag from my Weissach. After 1980, Porsche offered the Platinum metallic paint on the 911sc.
