Rear seat hinge
I recently bought a 76 911 Targa. It definitely has some issues to resolve. It's been rebuilt engine wise but the body and interior needs some work. One issue is the rear seat backs. The wood has deteriorated and that's being replaced with no big problem. BUT....I'm missing one of the metal brackets that secures the backrest to the body. It's the one that slips into a slot in the wood on the extreme rights side, passenger side. I have checked some catalogs and sites but nobody seems to list this part. If anyone has a spare one or knows where to get one please let me know. Someone out there must know of somewhere or someone that I can get to..........

There are two parts on the PET diagram that might match your description. Pelican has both of them. The 901 522 509 20 is called a bearing sleeve ($0.75) and the 901 522 365 20 is simply called a cap ($3.00). I'd suggest you phone them and try to sort it out.

I did check the diagrams and they list every nut bolt and washer that goes through it but not the hinge that attaches to the wooden part of the back of the seat....go figure!!!

Sorry, I can't tell you more. I have taken mine out since they're unnecessary weight and the only "hinge" is the pivot rod between the two seat backs, which stayed in the car. It's in the upper right in the this picture. I didn't find any wood, but my seat backs were in excellent condition.

I'm guessing that the piece that you are looking for will be only available if you by a new seat back as these two parts that fit into the slot in the wood will be included as part of the seat.
just my opinion....not fact!
Good luck.
