Hi,
I recently purchased a 69 911E. It has an "appearance challenged" shift **** IMO. Please see the pictures below and please help identify this thing. Also, I am searching for an original 5 speed shift **** (I HOPE this wasn't original), if you have one please send me an email. If somebody would like this thing let me **** before I pitch it
Thanks.

hmm, looks just like the shift **** in my update '66 912, I don't know if mines original since the interior has been updated by a previous owner. In any event I don't consider it to be ugly at all, sort of classic in a way.

that looks just like the one I purchased at Parts Heaven for about 15 dollars. I was going to install the factory short shift kit, which came with a new shift lever. I bought this aftermarket one just in case i mangled the old original upon removal (they must be pounded off)I ended up putting the cheapy aftermarket one on the new shift lever, as it just attaches with set screws. Will replace it when i find a nice/new original, or fix up the bit of damage on my own original. Sorry that i do not have a picture of an original for your model on hand at the moment. Good luck, MAX
