Default Noob with 993TT

OK so its not a real 993TT but Im making it into one and its my first 911. Tha dude that ownd it before me upgraded it with a 993TT body kit and real 993TT interior and other parts but left tha motor stock. Tha paint job is tight its Lambo orange all over and its got Lambo doors. It runs smooth and tha AC is cold but its very slow for a 911 and needs an upgrade but it will do for now.

How much moo la does a 993TT motor run so I can start savin up for it.

Welcome and nice colour but isn't that engine from a 912?

A 993TT engine will run you about $25k.

I can only imagine how slow that thing is with the 4 banger trying to spin those massive wheels and push that extra weight.

May I ask what you paid for the car?

I only paid $10K cash for it...pretty cheap for a 911...and a real 993TT costs over $60K so I think I did OK. Tha paint job alone cost $6000...then $8000 worth of interior and 993TT parts at LAPD and he spent $1000 just to get it passed smog. All in all he spend over 20 Gs on it besides the car itself an I got papers for all of it.

Ya...tha motors slow with tha AC on and I think all the smog stuff slows it down to...how many HP did a '76 911 have stock?

That would be a 1976 912E engine you have. I believe the rated horsepower was 86. That's eighty-six.

A 1976 911S was rated at 165 HP.

I've never seen anything like that. Never would have believed it even existed.

Whalebirds right. There's a wealth of knowledge over there. You might want to do a search as well.

+1 912E engine, might want to check the Vin#912600**** would mean it is really a 912E....(aka 911 body, VW engine). I don't think anyone would change out a 911 engine for a 912E engine on purpose? However, I would agree alot of money has been spent to update it to where it's at now....Have fun with it!!!
