Cost on a complete 915 rebuild can be as much as $3500.00 but if it is just the synchronizers that are bad, I would guesstimate that this would be a bit high in price. Keep in mind that you will have R&R for the gearbox, and shipping to add to this.

In truth, I'm not sure I would expect any 915 with 132K to shift fresh-as-new. The seller's response could mean anything from a tranny that REALLY needs at least new syncros all the way to one that is not bad at all.

I wish I had driven other 915s so I would have a better idea of what constitutes "good".

That car looks pretty clean and taken care of - I would definitely keep looking into it.
