Default Wires from Trunk to cabin

I have searched the forum and can't find out how to run some additional wires from my battery in the front trunk to inside the cabin. Everthing is tight as can be with no gromets or holes like in an american car.Any suggestions? My car is a 1987 Carrera Coupe.

Thanks in advance!

George

I ran an indoor/outdoor temp sensor from the front trunk to the cabin through the area behind the passenger footwell blower carpeted cover. Once you remove the carpeted footwell blower carpet cover (a few screws buried in the carpet) you will see where the an environmental hose goes through the firewall to the front trunk. You can squeeze some stuff through that opening. Good luck.

?? Look carefully. There are a number of grommets that you can push thin wires through, and a large 1" cap covering an unused pipe (at least in '84-'85). They were capped and grommeted probably to help keep wind noise from blowing into the cabin from the trunk.
