I'm in the desert, and we recently had some actual rain. Most of the guys around here park it in a garage when the wet stuff comes down, but my 81SC is my daily driver. I'm told that water can come into the engine through the grill and get the distributor wet, thereby stranding you in the rain. Surely it must rain in Germany, or everywhere else besides here. Do you guys park your cars when it rains, or is this a myth?

It's fixed. Water logged DME.
Yesterday it was still damp/raining outside so I pulled the DME. Removed cover (held by tabs) for internal inspection. Let sit on warm air vent in the house over night.
Put back in this morning....always runs better after I work on it.
Long ago I figured this out...How does changing wiper blades improve acceleration ?![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks for help.
