Default Ridiculous price on 78SC @ B-J

This SC just sold for $48K. Sure, it supposedly has low miles on it, but this is an aftermarket slantnose conversion, that just isn't that attractive with the "928" headlights. $48K would buy a nice 930. Lot 85.1:

We were watching and thought that was an insane price too for that car.
I suppose it's another case of to each his own.

That's extremely rare for a 911. No wonder it was worth so much.

...never seen that conversion before.
Looked like real 928 lights used.

yep, that was hard to believe. Great for the seller though - got two guys that really wanted the car (and the bar being available) makes quite a combination - should be an interesting week of viewing

Right! He'd better shrink wrap it. Imagine actually driving the car...cost per mile = insane.

That whole auction is a joke. People with too much money and not enough brains who think its cool to over pay for cars on TV. Those adds they run for the "life style" make me sick. WHat kind of life style is it where you wear sunglasses inside and blowing shirts so you can over pay for cars?

Maybe so, but I watch a good chunk of it every year. It is just great to see the variety of cars, although B-J isn't the place for many imports, and the drama on some of the prime auction lots on Friday and Saturday nights.

"Too much money" is a tough concept for me to grasp.

Makes for good TV! Barrett, Macon, chasing cars with Wayne.....as soon as I make a few hundred million using the ETrade day trading system and selling all those apartment buildings I bought with no money down I'll see you with my sunglasses and Tommy Bahama shirts.
