Thanks for the info. I sent him an email with my contact info. Going to try to get by to see the car sometime this week/weekend.

I am the owner of this 911 SC. I am surprised to read about the comments on my car.
Just to clear some things up... My 911SC. I cleared the sunroof drains 5 years ago when I bought the car. Nothing was clogging them. I suspect the sunroof leaked at one point causing the water stains on the headliner. It is cosmetic. The seat bolster is cosmetic also. I am sure you could have a shop repair/restitch that section and redye the seats. Not unheard of. The wheel is an Italian Design, the shift **** is Momo, the car has a 90s Denon Tape Deck Stereo, and the car has an installed early 80s front and rear radar detector. The cruise does not work, The AC did when I bought it 5 years ago but I never used it because the system is not that great to begin with - Known issue with York compressors and old condensers. It is original equipment so I left it alone. The power ant is stuck up - Hirschman.
The battery tray area is clean...look like someone put baking soda down but I checked the front pan and there are no issues. The car has is original Fuchs. The car wears it original paint. It shows well for its age. The dash is perfect. The car is lowered. The car has brake coolers. It has updated tensioners and clutch. The car has 152 K miles. I have done all the servicing since I have owned it. Oil change every spring and flush the brakes twice in 5 years. Everything else has been fine. Burns oil with in specs by Porsche. Runs out strong and I don't suspect any issues with head studs.

It was bought as a driver and for my price that is what you can expect. I had this car up for sale last year for $13500 and got a few tire kickers. I dropped it to $12500 and got a few more. For the first guy in this post... He told me he wants a 912E. He never told me he had an issue with color...

I am an Naval Officer, Naval Academy Graduate, and have owned VWs and Porsches since I was 14.
I own 5 old German pieces of metal and rubber. I do my own work. My dad owns and wrenches on VWs and Mercedes-so I guess it is in my blood. I am a VWCA and PCA member since 1991 and 1996 respectively. I should think I am honest! I am selling for two reasons... 1. I have 8 cars total, I am moving for the Navy, and I don't feel like hauling the 911 to Ohio for long term storage at my parents garage. 2. I have two young daughters who love this car but can't ride in it because it only has lap belts in the back. I want to get a later car that has shoulder belts so all 4 of us can enjoy it. I have a Karmann Ghia and 914 and they are Daddy's Car Only and I need something beside my 70 VW Double Cab we can all ride it. Girls and fast cars... what else can I say. So if any of you out there want my car... Do a PPI if you want... and bring $10K in cash... Thats my final offer and I won't go lower.
The first poster got my lowest. If it does not sell, then I guess it may go to Ohio or to Florida when I move. Tired of tire kickers... Tired of people expecting a show car for driver money! Manage you expectations... If you clean head liners, no rips, and not stone chips then pony up the big bucks to get a low mileage show queen.

How many 911 are out there with a 9-iron in the trunk? I like a piece of PVC pipe. Something that won't scratch the car because it WILL get knocked over on the fender.
Pete, about the struts, Front and rear, the cheap ones last a year, the lifetime struts last a year and a half. No shame in a prop rod. Just for referance, the rear strut kits should be welded in. (Pete you know this) and not the double shocks on one side, but an additional one on the other side. Furthermore, the strong shocks, and RSA kits can kink the hood/hinges if you are to agressive in closing the hood.

Welcome to Rennlist. I think that's a great price. If you haven't already, I'd put it up on the classifieds here, too. pca.org also has classifieds, in case you weren't aware.

I think that you have been fair with your price. Also your statement about expectations are spot on. Welcome to Rennlist.

Not to worry in my opinion. I went on autotrader.com and just searched all 1981-1989 911s at $20,000 and less. There are 137 cars listed nationwide (69 if limited to coupes). Lots of 911s out there.

I have no problem with it not being original; I just don't understand everything he's done and that makes me a little nervous. But, I agree, it's a nice looking car, and thanks for pointing it out to me!

Good to see you here, Matt! I certainly hope you stick around this place. It really is a great forum.

I, for one, thought you had a fine example that was very fairly priced. Great car ...wish you the best in selling ...or keeping her
