I'm almost completely mystified by CIS stuff, but what little I know makes me say you should start with checking your system and control pressures. The fuel pressure affects rich/lean mixture. It could be anything from a bad fuel pump to bad WUR, but you need to systematically go through the checks to find what is causing it. If you ever venture to central Calif, I'll let you borrow my gauges and afr meter.

Ugh! Thanks for the offer - i'm almost inclined to take it. Just slightly frustrated at the lack of info provided by the recent trip to the shop..

Looks like i will need to take matters into my own hands

Yeah the L-Jetronic DME is a pretty sweet system.

Nikko, if you have not already, you should get the Bentley manual and the master fuel pressure test kit from Harbor Freight, or perhaps Pelican. You can do all of the tests described in Bentley with a digital multimeter, and the CIS fuel pressure test kit.

Found the Aux Air Valve is stuck shut...

Any suggestions? WD40 isnt helping much...
