Default Cost of installing a duck tail and "Carrera" side decals?

I'm starting to really dig this look: LINK

How much would it cost to install a ducktail and those cool side decals?

The fiberglass ducktail is typically about $350 to $400 not shipped. I'm doing the install / fitment myself so I don't have a quote for you on that part. I'd guess a couple hundred for that fitment and paint work. The script should be around $100 or maybe a little more. You could do that part yourself...it's pretty simple.

It would only cost you your dignity.

I kid I kid. Google 911 body kits. There is a guy off the 210 in the Monrovia area that all the shops use. Just understand that fiberglass needs lots of skill and persuasion to install.

I love the look by the way.

On a cab it would cost you more than your dignity.........ducks on targas look great. Go for it. What color script are you thinking about doing? I'm not sure where I'd stand on that with a black car and black fuchs. I think the script matching the wheels looks best and in your case that wouldn't really work. I think a just a duck would make your car perfect.

I couldn't find a link to the guy I was thinking, and of course I'd do as much shopping with site sponsors as you can.

Yeah, that's a tricky one. THESE guys sell them in a bunch of colors. I was thinking "Dark Grey" or "mouse Grey". Something that blends in a bit.

Ducks do look great on Targas. Only think I can think of for color is to ask what color your interior is. If it's black or not a contrasting color you'd want to use on the strips, I think a darker grey would look great while still being subtle and a little stealthy

Matte black would get my vote. Very subtle and I think it would look great with the matte finish on the fuchs (assuming your's rare matte). Good luck!

I'm not sure a duck on a Targa is a good idea.

Get in touch with Mike at No Bad Days Graphics. He's a "Porsche Guy" and makes the side graphics. http://nbd.4nets.com/wordpress/?p=1

Kevin Metzler at Automotive Innovations and Restorations is a skilled Porsche body and paint guy. He'll be able to give advice on a fiberglass duck tail -- where to purchase the best ones, cost for installing, etc. On top of that, Kevin's a GREAT guy...he really knows his stuff. www.autoinno.com.

Good luck! Post pictures of the end result.

Oh, the Getty Design duck gets great marks on quality. It is also what I have, and I also give it great marks. There was minimal prep work required.
