Default 1984 911 new dashboard

Hey guys I finally got a 911. Red carrera turbo look with gold BBS wheels. Only 70,000miles! Anyway, more on that later and I will post pix of this beauty. I need to replace the dashboard and Automotion has them for $1,500. Is ther a better deal out there before I buy?
Thanks, Scott.

Welcome to Rennlist.

I'd try some of the dismantlers first. Some have great product, some you really gotta be careful with. I'd call LAPD or Los Angeles Porsche Dismantlers.

It seems every major city has a place like it.

Wasn't there just a thread about parting out a 911?

I can do one for $1395 shipped assuming that the one you need is black. Or you can upgrade to a 86 and later dashboard for $1725 shipped. The later dashboard will include the correct defroster vent and center a/c vent. You can call me toll free 866-944-7883 if you have any questions just ask for Steve.

Just came across this on ebay. I have no affiliation or idea how it actually looks installed. Does anybody know this product? I've seen some caps that look "ok" but certainly not as good as a new dash. For under $100 it may not be a bad alternative.

I have a black cap on mine. Looks cheap, no seam where the original was.

That's why I thought he is a troll. Looks like advertisements for something, which seemed odd for a first post.

I agree, just throwing it out there. I've been searching for a good used dash for my 74 project but will probably end up with a new one when I get to that point. The entire interior is near perfect after sitting in a garage for 15 years or so but there is ONE crack on the dash in the usual spot where it rises to meet at the instrument cluster....expensive crack.
