what's my 1980 SC -- fair -- shape worth (divorce)
what's my 1980 SC -- fair -- shape worth (divorce)
I guess I have two options, I think it is worth 8K. My wife / lawyer think it is worth 15k. FOr 15K it will go under my wife's asset side.
How do I document a 8 K value other that putting it up for sale and see what it brings.
MEchanically it is nice, but interior is fair, body is fair, with 68K miles.
Drives side door door has some very minor damage, but that's why 8K.

You might want to go to a body shop to document the cost of door repair, and perhaps deduct that cost against value? Your mileage is fairly low IMO....which doesn't help your cause. Maybe 911 owners can give you a closer value? If you run it into something $8K would probably be right (just kidding)

The Nada prices are Retail, so private party would be less. However, soon to be divorced wife would likely use these standards.

I looked at your link because I also have a 1980 SC with 120,000 miles. Purchase this past June for $8000.
Body real nice. Little rust by front of gas tank. 16" Fuchs. Seats pretty shot.
Good luck .
Oh nice car.

Correction on Nada Prices I didn't know it was a Targa, should have looked at link! Yes, nice car, if you were in Cal I'd snap it up in a heartbeat for $8K.

Get an insurance replacement cost from several carriers/provider you have now. Probably not worth arguing over, or paying a lawyer to negotiate. Let her have it...I have said before: I would not wish a 911 on my worst enemy.

If your wife has breasts implants....one belongs to you! I AM SERIOUS!!! A friend of mine used that as an asset and it was an acceptable legal agreement.
