I'm a new 911 owner (as of late last year) with a 2003 Targa - of course I love the car and fortunately she's in great shape. I typically do mostly short trips on weekends only, but I try to get the occasional longer (45 min +) drive in to get everything up to temperature and keep the battery topped off. I'm about to go out of town on business for 2 months and my wife is not planning to drive my car at all - she never drives it as a matter of principle, go figure, its her idea.
My question, should I be worried about leaving the Targa parked in the driveway for 2 months? Would it help if my wife started it once every 2 weeks and let it idle for 10-15 minutes or does it need to be driven once or twice to get the engine up to temperature and top off the battery? Any advice is appreciated, but I leave on Saturday. She'll be sitting under her car cover in my outside driveway, sadly I have no garage...
Thanks and hope everyone has a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.
