Default Porsche Battery Tender

Anyone out there using this Battery Tender? 980-611-981-00-OEM
Attachment 401285
It is that time of the year and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to drive the car this winter...so I'm preparing just in case the car sits for a while.

I use one of those, with excellent results.

I'm not familiar with that one. I got a cheapo float charger and battery condtioner gizmo somethingrather from HF that works great. Just make sure that it shuts off when the battery is fully charged.

just plug it in the lighter and plug it in the wall . You have to have a "hot" lighter with ignition off , and it only supplies a trickle charge to top up the batery if it senses the voltage has dropped off. The newer Porsche ones are made by C-tek. I have a C-Tek and it works fine. I have the 3300 I think it is called .. does not have lighter option but I can't use it anyway. The quick disconnects are great when you forget about it .. I have dragged a battery tender more than once down the driveway

Great! I will add it to my Porsche X-mas wish list...it's a long list but this item is probably the cheapest one.

I will sell you mine. It did not work with my '88 no "hot" lighter with ignition off . Got cheap auto parts store direct connect to battery charger instead.

I guess I better check mine first, otherwise I would have to buy the battery adapter cable.
