Talking Winter Tyres/Tires

I plan to use my 84 Carrera all year here in Switzerland, however by law we have to use winter tyres during the winter months. Does anyone have any reccommendations / experience that they would care to share with me. Wheels to be used are 'telephone dials '. Im really looking for some advise regarding brands/sizes/anything obvious to avoid etc.
Owned my car 4 days now, im having my smile surgically removed next week....love that race car soundtrack!!!!!!

You must get Bridgestone Blizzak snow/ice tires. They are awesome as a winter only tire. Nothing even comes close. As for size, I can't give you any exact sizes, but skinnier is better in the snow. See the Tire Rack website for details. Have fun!

I love the Dunlop Winter Sport M2's. These are great in the snow, but also offer very high performance on dry pavement. They're also rated at 130mph, where Blizzaks and many others are only rated to 99mph. Check out www.tirerack.com for comparisons.

I've been happy w/ Pirelli Winter 210 in upstate NYs miserable winters. The Dunlop Winter Sport M2 was my first choice but was unobtainable when I was buying.
