back in the porsche saddle again
You guys will never guess what has just happened. One of Rennlist's Lifetime members just purchased one of the coolest cars around. I'll let JoAnne tell the story:

If this isn't reason to pay the membership, I don't know what is.
We have all the records and it will take a while to go through them all. This is what I know so far:
1987 Carrera based '73 RS Tribute (Needs an R Gruppe Invite )
G50 Tranny
Factory Limited Slip
3.2 w/ top-end rebuilt less than 1K miles
New clutch
Sensors
CVs
Bilstein Sports
SSIs
Dansk dual out
Backdated heat
Vented rotors
Steve Wong chip
Paint to sample Glasurit paint in a sort of 356 Heron Grey
All new body seals, window rubbers
New H4s, harness bar (we had to remove it)
3-point strut brace,
7" RSR finish ROTAs with new Yokohama's
Rear brake light
and more..........
It also has a new headliner, but it wasn't installed all that great so we are going to replace it with Alcantera and re-install the sun visors which were removed as they were in a RS. It is brutal driving up her without them.
Also we'll be replacing the seats, not that there is anything Major wrong with them, but being that Robert is tall he needs a seat that can recline so we'll be going for a retro black with hounds tooth inserts look. We also have to move the seat rails back more....
You know we CAN'T leave it like it is

Okay so I FINALLY admitted to Doug that even after all these years, I never did a cross post so what did he do? He did it for me. If all the guys in this forum are this nice, I'll be okay. I was concerned that you guys in the 911 forum bite? Do you?
I LOVE our new addition. The smell of the interior alone is so intoxicating, I could sleep in the garage, although I have a terrible fear that a Scorpion might sneak inside too and decide to try to keep me warm. This weekend will be the big going over the car with a fine tooth comb time with the car, which we have named Vasek. Nothing like putting your hands on the car to learn about every nook and cranny. I do know the undercarriage is Spotless. That's my specialty and since someone else has already done the work for me, I'll have to find something else to obsess over, like that intoxicating smelling interior
Anyway, THANKS DOUG and I look forward to spending some time here with you guys here in the 911 world.
