Slow Window

The passenger window in my ’86 coupe is moving up and down very slowly. The car is new to me as of November and I have not driven it much due to the winter. This last weekend, I was working on it and noticed the problem was worse than before. I don’t know if the cooler weather made it worse, or if it was just having a bad day.
Does anyone know the cause or solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance.

My ´86 carrera does the same thing, but with the driver´s window. It´ll go a lot better after washing the car, or in warm weather, it gets REALLY slow when it´s cold outside.
Grease could be a solution, however, greasing the window rails is not good, as it picks up grime and will end up blocking the window.
Graphite grease (dustlike) works really well, and it will not pick up any grease (works excellent for aerials)

Couple of things..........
1. Find every connection and clean it with a copper bristle brush. Make a NEW connection.
2. Window channel felt wearing out and binds on the window.
3. Replace the window switches. They wear out.
Don't jump into replacing the motor until you've done everything else. BTDT

Red 911,
Graphite powder is the ticket!
I had the same problem with my 88 coupe , my mechanic used the graphite powder in the window channel and all is GOOD.
