Did Porsche ever produce a linen dash as opposed to the black dash that I currently have in my 87 Carrera? I was talking to someone today that said that Porsche had but I have never seen one. If they did, do you know where I could find one? Or can it be custom made?
Thanks,
Wooly

I'm sure it could when it was new. I saw an 85 that had interior to sample in a tan color. That option cost $1,972 in 1985!
I have no personal knowledge of this company but they offer that service for the 911: 928leathershop.com and I'm sure there are others if you google.

Wooly,
I used 928leathershop.com as well to redo my center console in leather. Original owner had drilled and attached a car phone the size of a shoe box too it and it weghed like 7 lbs. He never used it either since it was too expensive back in 87.........idiot.
If the dash on my 87 ever cracks I will probably have it wrapped in leather, the guy is amazing.
He does use Porsche fine grain leather if you want to keep it original looking.
Good luck.
