Default Playing with the Iphone in the 911...

Goofing around today, I strapped the phone to the rear view mirror and took a couple of videos. The sound and picture quality aren't 1/2 bad. The shake is from my rear view mirror wobble. Then, they load right up to YouTube. Amazing.

Be careful on those onramps:

The longer version showing a little of our local scenery:

Then, I played with the Dynolicious app. I did 3 runs and all pulled similar HP numbers, which I believe to be fairly close. A side note-the Russell Berry Multimax chip does feel different than the Steve W chip I've had in for a few years. A more even pull through the rev range, where the Steve W map pulled harder from about 4K on.

Acceleration

0-10 MPH: 1.00 sec
0-20 MPH: 1.94 sec
0-30 MPH: 2.76 sec
0-40 MPH: 3.53 sec
0-50 MPH: 5.33 sec
0-60 MPH: 6.51 sec
0-70 MPH: 7.77 sec
0-80 MPH: 9.84 sec
0-90 MPH: 11.60 sec

Elapsed Time

60': 2.83 sec @ 27.6 MPH
330': 6.77 sec @ 58.9 MPH
1/8 mi: 9.85 sec @ 79.7 MPH
1000': 12.50 sec @ 94.4 MPH
1/4 mi: 14.78 sec @ 94.4 MPH

Max Speed: 97.4 MPH
Max Acceleration: 0.62 G's
Peak Horsepower: 242 HP

That looks shockingly good. What timing on the onramp.

Ed, I have used the Dynolicious Ap as well.
Thought the numbers were a bit higher than they should have been for my stock 88.
What % of drivetrain loss are you using?

I used 15%. I think it is a couple of ponies low compared to actual Dyno runs I've done. I'm probably conservative on the weight by 50 lbs since I had a full tank this morning. I've got an accurate weight on my car, which is important. It is remarkable that this thing is even close.

That's a great looking video! Ed, you might really like a short shifter. I noticed that your shifts are good, but this vid reminded me how long that shift throw is.

I'm not sure I want to rush the shifts any more. I probably shift a bit quicker on the track as I rarely have to go 1st-2nd.

Thank for the ride - squeeky brakes and all. Shift throws look like they should IMHO. Sometimes a short shift kit can slow down your shifts. Keep stirring the box.

How did you attach it to the rear view mirror? That is awesome!! I love it. I like your new rims as well.

really cool Ed. Gotta see some with the mirror stabilized for less wobbling.

Squeaky brakes=stopping power. My wife always thinks I need to fix them. She doesn't believe me when I tell her I've actually spent a lot of money and time to upgrade.

I think 3 seconds in the quarter is a huge difference. Or are you being facetious?
