Post wheel fitment

I have an 88 911 coupe with stock 6 & 7 16" Fuchs
wheels. I bought a set of 7 & 9 17" cup wheels with a 55mm offset. The fronts rub the strut cover & the rears won't go on at all (hitting converter shield. Would spacers/adapters solve the problem and if so, what size? This is street driven, no track use. TIA
