1986 Carrera Tonneau cover
Hello all:
First and foremost, as a newbie to this site I'm amazed at all the wisdom on this board about the 911's - just purchased mine from my uncle last week and these boards have been a fountain of great info.
Re: the cover of my 1986 911 - I saw in the owner's manual a tonneau cover and presumed Porsche manufactured them since it was in the manual, but dealers claim this item is not in stock. Any ideas?
Also, which outdoor cover would you recommend when I have the car at the beach since I don;t want the top stained with tree sap, bird droppings etc. The gar is garaged 95% of the time - this cover would be used for wkends only in the summer months. Appreciate any feedback. MVG

You can find them at swap meets but they demand high$$ ($750+) you can get one from Performance that will do for (I think) about $300-400 or so or take the car to a quality car-top shop and see what tehy would charge. dan
