can 993 calipers and rotors be made to work on a 911??????

With proper adapters for the caliper and rotor(930 rotor or 993tt rotor) in the front and some machining in the back(w/930 rotors). Yes

The most recent issue of Excellence has ads for bolt-on kits to put Boxster brakes on older 911's. This may be a more cost-effective solution. You may want to look into it.

We've made adaptors for both the boxster to 911 front /rear (as discussed in last issue of excellence) and the 993 front caliper and rotor install on 911. The problem with the 993 install is the need for machining the front hubs to accept the rotors for centricity and the need for different wheels/ offsets . You will have to either go to 17" offset wheels with spacers or a C2 style wheel for the car. Either way will take some time and expense to solve. Contact us directly if you want to proceed with the Boxster or 993 set up
