Is front suspension from 78-83 SC a direct bolt-on on a 1970 T?

Post Is front suspension from 78-83 SC a direct bolt-on on a 1970 T?

If not, what's involved? Want to know my options should I have the hydropneumatic setup.

Hi:

That SC front end will bolt right up to your T.
You should use the through-the-body swaybar instead of the under-body bar that the SC uses.

FWIW, I've never seen any "T" with the hydropneumatic front suspension used on the "E". It was horrible,....

Steve,

Thanks for the info. Haven't gotten a chance to get the car up on stands. Looking at it from below, It looked awfully close to the illustrations I've seen of that setup--only reason I considered an SC suspension. However, would you still consider that a well worth upgrade? I found someone selling one for $650 (including rotors).

The bigger brakes make it worth while. But as noted keep the through the body sway bar much more efficient. Note the attachment point change on the lower mount, it’s easier to fix before it goes together. If all is in good shape $650 is an OK price.
