Let us know what you finally bought the car at. I am looking at a 89 coupe. Not as pristine as yours. I think a well documented one owner car, '89, low miles, right color combo is a very rare find indeed. There are still a lot of people with dispensable cash for a car like this.

Just to close the loop on the '89 cab, the seller wanted $35K and I offered $30K, which was the limit I had set after reading your posts and taking into consideration my finances. He probably would have come down to $32.5K but I decided to stick on $30K so we ended discussions. Not my dream car so it wasn't hard to walk away. I'm pretty sure he'll get close to what he's asking. It's in beautiful condition and the local Porsche shop where its serviced highly recommended it to me. Thanks again for all your input.

FWIW, I recently passed on an 88 red cab in Moorpark, CA. Owned and maintained by an engineer. It looks great, found it through Autotrader. But it needed A/C, and to be shipped from Ca to PA, both of which put the cost out of reach for me. It is still available, as of 8/8.
And 911 cab, I am also still looking for my car...Let me know if you decide to sell, I may be interested.

The original seller called me this past Wednesday and decided to accept my offer so I am the proud owner of an '89 cab. Crappy weather here in PA this weekend but I still had the oppy to put 100 miles of horse country, back road driving on the odo yesterday and today. What a blast!
