I thought all 88 Targas had shoulder belts but I'm new to this and could easily be wrong. Cabs still had lap belts in 88. Did you have an 88 Targa? Perhaps they all didn't have them although every one I've looked at so far has. Maybe it's like the speedos. Some variation across samples from the same year occurred?
