i currently have a 944S but will be looking for a 911 in the next year or so. probably a carrera 3.2 as they seem to be very reliable and are priced well.
i love the widebody look (can't afford the 930) but am wondering how much more weight the wide body look adds to the regular carrera 3.2 body? any change in acceleration?

I'm not sure the weight difference, I can't imagine more than 150lbs. If it is a factory turbo-look than you get the turbo brakes/suspension! Top speed is definitely affected(hence RUF narrow-bodies)which may or may not be an issue. Can't beat the look!

The widebody cars are heavier by about 300 pounds IIRC. This is enough to feel in acceleration, but as previously mentioned, the addition of the Turbo brakes and suspension is a big plus.
Expect to pay $3-5,000 over "narrow body" price for a factory M-491 (Turbo-look option)

The weight is from the Turbo suspension pieces more than the flares. 110 pounds sounds right.
