Post Headlight Aiming Help

Hello All:
Just finished installing a set of H4s and was looking for some advice on properly aiming them. I do not have access to the proper aiming tools, so is there a basic distance/height guildline I can follow? Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
TIA

Cheers!
Steve
ps: Thanks for the help on the install posts too!

find a flat parking lot and a wall with lines on it, or bricks. place the car about 20 feet from the wall. at night is best. measure the height of the bulb from the ground, and mark the wall. put on the high beams and adjust the beam to the mark. stand behind the car at both rear corners and sight along the length of the car to be sure the beams are straight ahead. adjust as necessary. when you dip the beam, they will automatically go down and to the right a bit. then go test it on a dark road. do a minor adjustment if needed.
