Hi folks,
I have a 82 911 sc stock brake lines, braided hoses, ate calipers and slotted rotors.
I have been offered gt2 calipers and 330mm drilled rotors from my supplier.
is my stock master cylinder going to be able to handle the bigger calipers?
Are there any bits and pieces I should consider upgrading?
larger fluid resoivoir?
brake bias valve?
new lines (booster the brake lines)
I am buy no means a master in the department and need as much advice as possible....throw your suggestions!
Thanks

Thought I'd chime in here with my experience of tracking my 992TS, after also extensively tracking my 991TS.
My 991, on PPCB and Manthey 'Green' pads destroyed a set of PCCB in around 120 laps or so of the Nordschleife. They were epic during their lifetime though. Mind blowingly powerful. GT3 buddies could not believe the 'fat boy' Turbo could stop as well, if not better than their lighter but steel equipped cars.
The 992 has infinitely better cooling. So is off to a great start over the 991. I agree with some posts that it doesn't have quite the same bite and sensation of stopping power the 991 had, but this is purely subjective.
On the standard pads, the PCCB were losing 0.1 or less of their reading on the Carbotek Laser Tool after each track day at the Nurburgring. That's around 25 laps of the Nordschleife with a cooldown between each tank (1 tank = about 5 laps if you're doing 7.40 times, or 6 laps if you do 8min laps).
The pads went after around 70 laps. I could (and perhaps should) have continued on standard pads, even though they were a bit soft feeling after the 991 with Green pads.
(FWIW, Manthey Green are a Manthey tweaked version of a Pagid pad, developed in collaboration with Pagid & Porsche specifically for the Ring).
As there were no Green pads for the 992 yet, I replaced with Endless pads as recommended and fitted by Manthey.
50 laps later the PCCB are on the legal minimum reading on the Carbotek. The Endless pads have eaten the discs, whilst they themselves still look brand new.
You can't get ST's for the 992TS yet, so I am looking at alternatives.
CCM brakes are massively loved at UK track days by the GT3 & RS guys. Shame there is no alternative to ST.

okay firstly thanks for chiming in to a 13 year old post on an air cooled forum for an air cooled car that has zero to do with what you are talking about ..
second...... okay there is no second ...
