Default Porsche 911 on Wheeler Dealers

We've talked about this show before, but I saw the Porsche 911 episode only last night. They hate the US spec bumpers, haha.

I hope this link works, and I hope it's in English (no sound on this computer).

Actually, they made a HUGE deal over the "Calfornia bumpers". I mean, that Mike guy was ruthless. And on and on about how neat and "tidy" European bumpers are....

And the right side mirror was at a REALLY funky angle. Tires were mismatched as well. Oh well, at least they did not paint the tailpipe.

I just saw that episode..beside the fact that poor Ed never gets paid for his excellent work the SC seemed to have a 2.7 instead of the original 3.0 and they didn't notice.
Anyone else see the 5 blade cooling fan? Thats a 75-77 item i'm certain! Bert

What with the chrome trim and 5 blade fan, I just assumed it was a 2.7 with a SC badge. I wonder too how Ed gets paid. He probably gets a split of the profit from the show and the car sale. In this episode he looks freakishly tall like the snow alien in Star Trek the Final Frontier.

Man that was funny ... ' you know what Americans are like .. they ruined it " Guess this show doesn't get sold internationally ...
another classic .. " this is a 2.7litre.. a fairly bullet proof engine " ... to bad it wasn't designed to stop bullets..
So the guy pays top dollar and we don't even know if it has pulled heads studs.

this, and when the 'expert' who owned the black targa said that if there is sludge in the oil cap, it's because there is a problem with the head gasket

and I hate, hate, hate it when they sit on the cars - they always do this

LOL - I didn't realize this thread was 3 years old - just saw the episodes last night!

Haha I happen to know what happened to that car, cuz I get wheeler dealers here in KSA, and that dude sold it to some guy in scotland, and the oil cooler cracked on him, and he was getting it fixed

was in pretty much the same shape as when they sold it on, besides the oil cooler.... those 5 blade fans really don't matter when the temp never gets above 70 anyways

Troy is right, the best part of that episode is when Mike Brewer drives the Black 911 and asks the owner about common problems, The owner than suggests that you should open the oil cap for white residue that would suggest the head gasket is gone.

WTF????
