Oh come on now...
"highly confidential" work, but lists the phone number anyway?
"took it on trade from a customer?"
One minute he's an army man, next he's a car salesman. I joined the site just so I could report this dude.

Here is what I got back:
Hi,
I am sorry for the late reply. The car is still for sale. It has a clean title, very well maintained, no exterior damages and no mechanical problems. I am selling it cause I am in the army at Ft.Lauderale/FL navy station and in two weeks I will be in Iraq. I will stay there till September 2009 and I can't use it anymore. The price is $2950 (I know is really cheap but we need cash money ASAP in order to purchase a new house and during this financial crisis the price will be cheaper each day). My work here is highly confidential and I can use the phone only for a family emergency.
I am from Los Angeles/CA as you can see from my autotrader add but my family is located in Memphis/TN and the car is here too, garage kept. We are willing to pay the shipping and handling fees and the total will remain $2950. The delivery time will be 3-5 days, depending on your current location and I already found a local shipping company which is not so expensive for shipping in US. My wife will take care of the shipment.
Here you have some info about it:

Well, I wanted to believe your add was real, but unfortunitly the price is so low and your story is so unbeliveable that I can not. Your add on autotraderclassic.com states you are a dealer. Your phone number is from colorado. You say the car is in Tenn. You say you are in florida. You say you are from L.A.....You told a friend of mine you were over seas already. and the car pictured is worth $18,000 on a bad day and $24,000 on a good day. If I had the time I would have already reported your add. Your not knowing what Rennlist is was your fatal mistake on this scam. good luck with your next one. This one isn't gonna fly. Actually what gave it away was the price. the tranny is worth more that $2,950. Idiot.
Have a great day,
douglas

Please find my thread on www.rennlist.com titled "are you kidding me 911 @ $2,950" in the air/oil cooled section. I can't think of one of us that don't want your car. We would all love it. I'm sure we can find someone in to gladly take it off your hands.
Take care and thank you for your service,
douglas
