I can't stop looking for the perfect car! Someone stop me. I don't care if it takes 10 years.

You have come to the right place and just may be looking at the correct timeframe. No, how deep are your pockets?

You know, I'm not sure. They always seem to get deeper whenever I do something else. I've been looking to do some trades for marine parts for offshore racing boats. I almost had a sweet deal on a 930 about three weeks ago, but I was a bit too slow to see the ad! *bang head*
I'm looking for rough interior, rough engine, and decent body. I don't care if it has nasty paint or just primer. Hell, i don't care if it's 2 out of 3. (interior, straight body, no engine). I want to change colour, do my own interior colour scheme, and do my own thing with the body. I'd rather go coupe than targa or cab.

I'll know the right one when I see it...

I love seeing the 944 guys over here in aircooled land. Go for it. But I cannot stress enough to get a driver GET A DRIVER. Look at the early cars(<73) if you can find one. I would hesitate on a turbo if you don't know them too well - $$$$$$. Given your stated objective, I think any of the 3.0/3.2 cars would be good. They are plentiful for cheap and if you go crazy (you would never do that) you haven't molested a museum piece. (early cars carry a bit of responsability given the current market).
Dude - your gonna have a blast. Back that 944 out in the street and get a 911. You will never look back.

this would be a sweet ride at any price, but at half price, it's a steal.

I'm sure you could cut this one up without guilt.

I've been using crazedlist.org recently without any sweet finds yet. I can't wait until I find the right one... we'll see...

Those others posted on Autotrader are nice, but almost TOO nice. I'd like to find one that's a bit more rough, ya know?

Oh, the 2nd one... for 70-something? Yeah, I'd totally cut that one in half.

I'd go for the RSR look all the way around.

So why do you suggest going '73 and earlier?
