930 cylinder questions.
1- I am rebuilding a 3.3 Turbo. The original cylinders have a slight ridge at the top of the bore. The rings grabbed the Nikasil away only at this point.I could have this set replated. Any thoughts or suggestions about replating?
2- I have an additional matched set of cylinders that are cut for a 935 style locating ring, however the heads are not cut for this ring.I don't want to machine the heads to match.Should I fill the groove? Should I abandon this set? can the groove be filled with weld?
3- I'd really like a new Mahle piston and cylinder set a 3.4 set would be ideal. What's a good price to pay?
