With that many miles I would replace everything, including any troublesome oil seals. Regarding the water pump, if they're available I would buy a new one. There are rebuilds and there are rebuilds. All of my experience was with 944s, and we did those cars every 30K miles - timing belt, balance shaft belt, power steering belt, oil seals, belt rollers as necessary, etc., etc... Why oh why didn't Porsche use a timing chain??? It could have been such a great car!

rnln, these guys are spot on. If a thousand sounds like alot today then just think of what ten thousand sounds like tomorrow.
