Tremelune

Hey, I just posted this question to the 944 forums, but I'm pretty sure the early 911's have the same side-mirror setup (with the hole in the bottom), so I'm hoping someone here might know some more.

Basically, I think I broke something in there, but I took the thing apart and didn't notice anything out of place...but I can't imagine what holds my mirror in if not the motor...The thing pops out when I close the door. Rrr...Any info would be much appreciated. Please post to the 944 forum, because I don't usually come around here (save me a spot in 5 years).
