I had my alternator reconditioned about 2 weeks ago. The battery seems to have no trouble with starts.
But, the alternator warning light occassionally goes on when I decelerate to an idle. The idle speed is about 850 to 900. It doesn't do it everytime I return to idle. Sometimes the light is solid, other times is starts to light then goes out. It always goes out if I raise the idle to about 1000.
Should I remove the alternator and have the shop redo their work? Or, is this a typical pattern for our engines?

that's not typical.
What reading do you get (volts) at the battery with all accessories turned off, at idle?
