I'm trying to figure out the best way to connect to the factory bypass/thermostat in the rear fenderwell with AN16 braided hose. The obvious answer is a fitting that used to be manufactured by Earl's. It is a 90 degree tube type fitting, 30 x 1.5mm female swivel and inverted flare to connect to the thermostat, and AN16 hose on the other end. A friend has some of these but is unwilling to part with them since Earl's no longer makes them (?!). I have gotten some straight adapter fittings that are two piece with a nipple and swivel from B.A.T., but the design limits the i.d. of the fitting so much that it's pointless to use AN16 hose. I have considered drilling or milling out the fitting a little, but would rather find a more sound solution if possible. To mind, two other options are available. Some aluminum weld type male AN16 nipples could be welded directly to the thermostat. Lastly, I am considering having the thermostat's ends threaded to accept an adapter that has 1-3/16 x 12 n.p.t. female threads. It looks like this is a possible solution. Any other ideas or sources for these Earl's fittigs is appreciated.

Pegasus has the oil line 30mm to -16an couplings in (straight) male and female varieties. You might call them to see if they can help put something together. 800-688-6946 or email to info@pegasusautoracing.com. I'd call Racer Parts Wholesale, in Indiana. They have a lot more fittings in stock than their web page shows.

The threads on the Porsche thermostat are 30mm * 1.0 pitch. Call Pegasus. The ones in the catalog are 1.5 pitch.
Which are the threads on the other end at the cooler or hoop. BTDT.
