Default Ruby's new wheels. WARNING: Explicit Material

Finally, after a VERY long wait.....she has her new heels. FORGED, 3 piece (I dare you to spot the fasteners), 17" X 7.5/9", with new Advan R Compound (Medium Hard version) 225/255's. It is nice to have round tires on her again. The front wheels weighed 15.2lbs, the rears, 15.8lbs each. Pretty darned light.

This is the 6th set of wheels she's had on my watch. In this rotation, she had a set of 16" (7/8") Fuchs that were polished thusly, but when I went to bigger brakes a few years ago, they had to go. So, back she goes to my favorite look, for her. My thanks to Jeff Alton for his hard work in developing a sorely needed product for these fine cars.

Nope, no issues whatsoever. I've got 993 calipers all around as well. My LH rear clearance has always been tight and rubbed in a couple of turns at the track I usually ran on in Texas with the 245 MPSC's I had on 9" BBS wheels. I'm probably going to put a bit more negative camber in to help avoid that, and dremel a bit off that lip. But, I put about 30 miles on today with no issues on some tight roads with some bumps thrown in.

Ed,

I would equate those tires and wheels to velvet gloves over iron fists. They look great, and surely perform as well.

Great look with the polished centers.

Very nice? What size are those tires? The front 7.5"s look more offset to the outside than stock. Does this affect steering effort or feel at all?

225/255. They feel perfect. Jeff has been working with Kodiak for a long time on race wheels and has the offset stuff down to a science. Here's a couple of pics of the backside.

ooohhhhhh I just love that last pic. I think that logo is awesome. How in the world does he hide those fasteners?

I certainly think Jeff is an emerging force and will become one of the household names in the automotive world.
