Hi Ed - I looked up your wheels at Zuffenhaus. Mine is an '88 Targa, lowered, stiffer suspension (i.e. 21/28 t-bars, Bilstien Sports). The previous owner set it up with 17" turbo-twists, front 7.5/et23, rear 9/et15 under rolled fenders. I'm looking the the same wheels you have to shed the lbs. However, I have 215s upfront and absolute no rubbing; whether street, auto-x, or on the track. I've been thinking about going to 225s like you have, but worried about rubbing (also Wheel Enhancement advised against it). What are your offsets?

Philipe, I just replied to your e-mail. I don't have the paperwork handy on the wheels, and can't recall specific offsets right now. They are pretty close to stock offsets. 225's have been no issue on mine, but I shaved and rolled my front lips years ago. 215's are a no-brainer, but I'd limit the rears to 245's, otherwise it will be too much rubber relative to the front.

thanks for the info. my current tires are front: 215/45 ZR17; rear: 255/40 ZR17. I will revisit this with the new wheels. Also, thanks for the information on Zuffenhaus and the suggestion to contact Keith
