Default Help - Replacement dash needed for my 1972 911S restoration

Does anybody repair/restore old dashboards? I am doing a full resto on a 1972 S and it has the typical split in the dash at the center. The only replacement dashes I can find are bust out $1300 pieces from Stoddard or Pelican.

Is there a cheaper alternative, or do I just need to pay this? I've looked everywhere for a clean used one to no avail (expecially an early one with no vents and the center speaker grill).

thanks for any leads on this -

Pete
