My rear view mirror came off and I got the rear view mirror adhesive to reattach it. I have to remove the mounting button from the mirror bracket but am not sure how to release the bracket from the button. I don't see any set screw so I am guessing it just slides on and off and is just stuck after 22 years.

What am I missing.

flip the sun visors down to help position the mirror. Good luck.
