I have a 1987 Carrera Targa
Does anyone know the correct way to wire the glove box light?
I got my new one, hooked it up like this


black is power
brown is ground (found this in wiring diagram and it looks to be on the frame of the light, so probably correct?)
brown and white is probably from the glove box switch
This blows the fuse every time.

I would take a look at how your dome light is wired, I think they are identical.

It is the right wiring. My light is now operational.

The power wire was somehow touching and grounding to the edge of the dash. I bent the tabs, and made sure the light was in the OFF position. (ON position will blow a fuse when inserting into dash, ask me how I know)
