I am looking for a post-'91 964 C2 or a 88/89 3.2. I am curious to hear from those that have both cars or have gone from the 964 to a 3.2. Why did you make the switch?
Thanks!

I may make the switch, but only because its quite a rare 3.2. Having said that, the 964 does everything better than a 3.2. Better motor, gearbox, suspension, a/c, heat, ABS, etc. etc. Its kind of down to character...I think the 3.2 has more character...or that quality you really can't objectively quantify, but is a seat of the pants thing. I also think the 3.2 is a better looking car...but again, personal opinion.
If its a weekender, I'd go w/a 3.2....if its a daily I'd snag a 964.

I had a 92 C2 and switched to an SC so I could turn it into a race car. I did drive the SC on the street some and it is a blast but if you want creature comforts the 964 is much better. It's also faster, has better brakes, great A/C, a much better shifter/transmission...the list goes on and on. The SC is much more raw, louder, 500 pounds lighter, and a little more "exciting" at the edge.
The real question is what are you going to do with the car? Daily driver, weekend fun car, DEs, race car, etc.?
