Post Buying a 1989 911 Cabriolet- what's it worth?

I am currently looking at an '89 911 Cabriolet(my first Porsche) with 65,000 miles Blue/Linen. The wheels are color coded to the car and the top looks pretty new. There does not seem to be any previous damage as far as body work and it drives straight.

I believe that the clutch is original and there are stone chips on the hood.

What questions do I need to have answered and what do you think this car is worth? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Bobby J,
According to Bruce Anderson, in the latest Excellence, an 89 Cabrio should go for about $22683/25790/34525 in poor/good/excellent condition. I'd try and get all the service records, run a carfax report, and if you're serious about the car - get a PPI ($200-500) with leakdown and compression tests at an independent shop.
Hope this helps,

THE FIRST PORSCHE IS ALWAYS THE MOST EXCITING. JUST SIT DOWN WITH THE CURRENT OWNER AND WORK OUT A PRICE THAT IS AGREEABLE TO YOU BOTH. BRUCE ANDERSONS NUMBERS ARE USUALLY REASONABLE. BTW IF YOU ARE LOOKING A NEW CADILLAC THERE IS A GREAT LOCAL DEALER JUST OUTSIDE BUFFALO
GOOD LUCK
